How to Find a Cheap Hotel Room

Looking for how to find a cheap hotel room?  My favorite tip to find a cheap hotel room is to use Priceline.  Here are a few of the tricks I use that show you how to find a cheap hotel room.  First, when I go to the Priceline hotel room site I don’t immediately make a bid naming my own price, I first check to see what the listed price is for various hotel rooms.  If I like a certain hotel, I’ll open a new browser, and look up that hotel site directly, and use their online reservations to test hotel room prices.  This will show their “rack rate”, so you don’t want to bid any higher for a cheap hotel room than this price!

Another trick that shows how to find a cheap hotel room is to test the toom rates is to check to see if the hotel is accepting cheap government rates for hotel rooms for the nites you want.  If they’re accepting cheap government rates, they have hotel rooms to spare!  That’s your tip to go back to Priceline hotel rooms, and try to find a cheap hotel room!  For your first bid, make a bid for 1/2 the going rate for the cheap government hotel room rate!  I’ve booked a cheap hotel room in 4 star hotels for as low as $42.00 per night per room, and I have a friend that regularly books cheap hotel rroms in 3 star hotels for as low as $25.00 per night per room!

Here’s a good source when you’re looking for how to find a cheap hotel room – It’s a link to a site that goes into a lot of detail about the process of how to find a cheap hotel room.
